Austin Lake Estates is an eclectic community in the Hill Country between downtown Austin and the city of Bee Cave off Cuernavaca Dr. The community has Lake Austin frontage and access and is served by Eanes ISD schools.
The area Austin Lake Estates is in is a lot like parts of the Lake Travis area. It used to be very rural and as such has some older homes and some mobile homes, but it is also is an area in which one can find homes worth several million dollars. Austin Lake Estates itself is fairly eclectic with a mix of small, older homesa mix and larger, newer homes. The neighborhood has homes with Lake Austin frontage and others with lake views.
Being half way between downtown Austin and the Bee Cave/Lakeway area, residents of this community have quick access to the downtown music scene in Austin and the Hill Country Galleria Mall in Bee Cave and also the Lakeway Regional Medical Center.
