Welcome to my photo tour of Austin page. My goal over time is to highlight parts of Austin to show readers what a great place this is. I just took my first photos yesterday, April 15, 2007, so come back every once in a while to see what I add. Many people, when they think of Texas, think of Dallas or Houston - flat and boring. Or they think of flat fields of dry grass, tumbleweeds and cactus. If you take a little time and go although this Austin photo tour, you will understand that Austin is a very special place. Far from flat and boring, Austin and points west are in the spectacular Hill Country. Hills, rivers, creeks and lakes are all over the place. We also have caves, springs and amazing swimming holes. So far in Austin, I have some photos the Pennybacker bridge (often called the 360 bridge), Bull Creek Greenbelt and photos from atop Mt. Bonnell. As far as the drama of the Central Texas Hill Country, which starts in the western part of Austin, goes, the photos from Mt. Bonnell and overlooking Lake Travis show that aspect of the area off the best. I hope you enjoy these and other albums I will add over time. Except for photos of Cave Without a Name, these photos were taken by and are property of Sam Chapman, so consider them protected by U.S. copyright law. Having said that, if you wish to use any of these on a website, please give appropriate credit and show my url, which is www.austinrealestateguy.com.
