Briarcliff is a small community on Lake Travis about 45 minutes west of downtown Austin.  Many waterfront homes in Briarcliff sit above on a cliff high above Lake Travis, hence the name Briarcliff.  Briarcliff also has golf course homes and homes with Hill Country views. 

Home prices in Briarcliff area little less than other parts of the south Lake Travis area because it is a bit farther out from Austin than Lakeway and Hudson Bend.  However, that is starting to change.  With the Hill Country Galleria mall being built in Bee Cave, the addition of more retail space and a regional hospital that is to be built in Lakeway, Briarcliff doesn't seem that far out any more.

Things to do in and around Briarcliff include golf at Willie Nelson's 9-hole Pedernales Golf Course.  Both the Briarcliff Marina and Pace Bend Park have places to launch your boat.  Or enjoy a casual lunch at the Lakehouse cafe.
