Hancock is an Austin neighborhood just north of the University of Texas at Austin. Hancock is roughly bordered by the niversity on the south, IH 35 on the east, E 45th on the north and Duval on the west. Hancock is home to Eastwoods Park and the Hancock Golf Course. The neighborhood association is quite active and maintains a neighborhood blog.
Homes in Hancock range in size from fewer than 1,000 to over 3,300 square feet. Some homes in the neighborhood date from the 1920s. The Hancock Condominiums, a favorite of University of Texas students, were built in 1965. Additional condos were added to Hancock in 1967 and more in 2006.
