Lago Vista is a golf community on the north shore of LakeTravis. It is about 20 minutes from Cedar Park and Leander on 1431. Getting to the downtown Austin area or the airport during peak traffic times got easier with the opening of the new 183A toll road. What used to be a 90 minute drive is now down to around 40-60 depending on traffic and weather.
In 2005 the estimated population of Lago Vista was a little over 5,000. Because of the distance to downtown, the airport and major shopping areas, property values are lower in Lago Vista than just across the lake in areas like Lakeway. As more pressure is put on all of Lake Travis and as the north side of the lake grows, values are very likely to increase.
