For those of you from outside the Austin area, I want to give you an opportunity to see the beauty of Lake Travis. Please take some time to take this photo tour. Lake Travis is part of the Highland Lakes chain, which is a series of lakes along the Colorado River. Lake Travis isn't the largest of the Highland Lakes, but it certainly is the most spectacular. Clear water and limestone walls make for some very interesting water color on Lake Travis. Being just 40 minutes west of downtown Austin, Lake Travis is an extremely popular destination for fun on the water. If you feel like it, take a look at my Lakeway photo album.
