Lake Travis weather and water conditions are necessary to understand if you plan any activities on the lake. Lake Travis is a wonderful place to sail, fish or scuba dive, but only if you know the weather conditions. The weather forecast, water level and temperature are all things that you should consider if you want to be safe while playing on Lake Travis.
If you are a boater, you will want to understand lake levels. The level of Lake Travis fluctuates depending on water use, water released through Mansfield Dam and rain. Lake Travis is considered to be full at a level of 681 feet above mean sea level.
For example, we started 2007 with a Lake Travis water level very low. Having been in a drought for three years, Lake Travis was somewhere around 42 feet low.
