Legend Oaks is a neighborhood in southwest Austin. Homes in Legend Oaks have been built since the 1980s and some building is still going on. Many of the older homes have been nicely updated with wood floors and granite counter tops in the kitchen. As the area is mature there are nice trees in most yards.
Legend Oaks is close to what we call the Y in Oak Hill, a southwest Austin area suburb. The Y is a landmark because of it's location and it is called the Y because of the shape of the intersection of two highways. Being close to the Y, Legend Oaks isn't far from downtown Austin and it is also a short drive to Dripping Springs and the Hill Country. Lake Travis is also a pretty quick trip up Hwy. 71.
Because of the location, Legend Oaks has become quite desirable. Homes in Legend Oaks lately (summer of 2007) have been selling very quickly, with an average days onmarket (time to sell) of 12, with many homes selling in as as 1 day.
