Maximize Listing Exposure


Marketing a house to get it sold is very different than it was 10 years ago.  This is mainly because of the internet.  A good real estate agent can get some excellent exposure using the internet.
 
A great example is the website that I use.  Powered by Point2 Agent, my website can get sellers maximum exposure if they list with me.  There are two components to this.  The first is something Point2 calls their handshake agreement.  Every time I list a house in the Austin MLS area, an email goes out to every agent in the Austin MLS area who uses Point2.   Every one of these agents can accept the listing to show on their website.  There are currently 277 agents in the Austin area who have agreed to show my listings on their websites.  I'd call that good exposure.
 
Point2 has also created neighborhood listings pages.  Going to Point2 Homes  will take you to a directory of real estate listings in the U.S., Canada and other countries.  From there you can go to Texas and then drill down to counties, cities and neighborhoods.  I typed "Circle C Homes" into a Google search box and the Point2 Circle C Listings page was the second result.  So if you are selling a home in Circle C, use me or any other Point2 website user, anyone looking for homes in Circle C will probably see your listing.
 
In addition to Point2 Homes, Point2 has agreements with the following real estate sites:  Google Base, Yahoo! Classifieds, LiveDeal, Propsmart, Oodle, Trulia.
 
Here is another reason to list with me:  my website shows up on Google's first page for a number of search terms.  I have a featured listing area on my home page.  Buyers will see featured listings. 
 
Keep in mind that just having people see your house isn't going to sell it.  Pictures are great, but only if the home is presented well.  This presentation includes how the house shows and the price.  Learn more about what really sells a house.
