Mirador is an Austin luxury neighborhood with extraordinary homes with some containing 10,000 square feet or more. Located withn the subdivision of Barton Creek, Mirador is a very exclusive gated part of that community. Many Mirador homes within the gated community sit behind private gates and have high end security systems. Homes generally sit on a hill overlooking a valley and some have downtown Austin views. The Austin schools of Oak Hill Elementary, O Henry Middle and Austin High Schools serve the community. The private schools of St. Michael's Catholic Academy and St. Gabriels Catholic School are nearby and many Mirador families enroll their children in these or other private schools.
