Oakmont Heights is a small neighborhood east of Mopac Expressway with West 35th on the southern border and Bull creek Rd. on the northern edge. Being so centrally located, residents of Oakmont Heights have quick access to downtown Austin, the University of Texas, much of Austin's medical community and places like Hancock Golf Course, Mayfield Park, Bailey Park and Reed Park.
Most homes in Oakmont Heights date from the late 1930s through the 1950s, but some have been demolished and replaced in more recent years. Neighborhood homes range in size from under 1,000 to over 4,000 square feet. Many of the older homes in Oakmont Heights have been beautifully updated.
