Rocky Creek is the newest community in western Travis County.  Located in the Texas Hill Country just west of Bee Cave, TX, Rocky Creek is convenitne to Austin yet takes advantage of the peacefulness of a more rural lifestyle.  The community is around 10 minutes west of the city of Bee Cave, making it around 40 minutes from downtown Austin.  

Rocky Creek will eventually contain just under 500 homes.  A significant part of the development has also been set aside as a nature preserve.  Amenities will include a nice community center with a pool, a playground and park and primitive hike and bike trails.  

Highland  Homes and Drees Homes are the only builders in Rocky Creek.  As of fall of 2011, home prices start in the mid $300,000s and go into the high $500,000s.  Home prices will vary depending on square footage, features and lot size.  Home sites will be either 70, 80 or 110 feet wide.

Getting to Rocky Creek is simple.  Take Highway 71 west or RR 620 south to 71.  Drive just a few minutes west and turn left on Hamilton Pool Road.  Rocky Creek will be just about 5 miles down the road on the left side.

Rocky Creek is within minutes of the cities of Bee Cave and Lakeway.  Within the Bee Cave/Lakeway area are many fine restaurants, shops and businesses.  Bee Cave is home to the Hill Country Galleria Mall and the Shops at the Galleria.  Lakeway is home to the Lakeway Regional Medical Center, which will open in the spring of 2012.

There is plenty to do around Rocky Creek as well.  Lake Travis marinas and parks are not at all far from the neighborhood.  Amazing parks and preserves like Hamilton Pool Preserve, Westcave Preserve, Krause Springs and Reimer's Ranch Park are also fairly short drives.

The neighborhood of Rocky Creek is served by Lake Travis Inedpendent School District Schools, which are some of the best in the state.
