The Homestead is an equestrian community just west of Bee Cave, but considered part of Bee Cave. Homes in the Homestead sit on large home sites of up to 8 acres. The community, established in 1995, sits in the Hill Country and many homes have spectacular views.
Though feeling quite rural, the Homestead is just 30 minutes west of downtown Austin. The neighborhood is also within minutes of the Hill Country Galleria Mall, the Shops at the Galleria, several grocery stores, Lake Travis and the almost completed Lakeway Regional Medical Center. The Homestead is also very close to wonderful Hill Country parks and preserves such as Hamilton Pool Preserve, Reimer's Ranch Park and Westcave Preserve.
The Homestead is served by the outstanding and awarding Lake Travis ISD schools. The schools that serve the community are Bee Cave Elementary, Lake Travis Middle School and Lake Travis High School.
