Western Oaks is a subdivision in southwest Austin just west of Mopac Expressway, south of William Cannon and north of Slaughter Lane. Homes in Western Oaks have an average age of about 20 years and many have been nicely updated. Similar to Legend Oaks, this is a pretty hot area for sellers right now (summer 2007). The average days on market to sell since Marcy has been 18.
Close to downtown Austin, Lake Travis and the Hill Country, Western Oaks is pretty convenient to a lot of things. The new AMD campus is being built on Southwest Parkway, just 10 or so minutes from Western Oaks.
