I had kids in Lakeway Elementary School for 12 years up until 2 years ago and I never had a bad experience with a teacher.  I love the school and still volunteer there to help set up high school volunteers to work the fall carnival.  Lakeway Elementary was named an Honor Roll school by the Texas Business and Education Coalition.  It was one of 268 elementary schools across the state to receive this honor and was one of the 7 in the region.

Lake Travis schools are one big reason that people are relocating to the Lakeway area.  Lakeway growth has been huge over the last 8 years.  Lakeway estimates that the city has grown from a population in 2000 of around 8,000 residents to around 14,000 in 2008.
