I have posted before about the Hill Country Galleria mall being built in Bee Cave, but not about what stores will be in it.  That is because the developers have been reluctant to announce anything until now.  The first business to open will most likely be a 16 screen theater.  That will thrill people in the south Lake Travis area.  The nearest theaters are at least 20 minutes from Bee Cave.  Other businesses to be in the mall are Barnes & Noble, Dillards, Ann Taylor Loft, New York & Co., Eddie Bauer, Chico’s and Victoria’s Secret.

Growth in the Bee Cave/Lakeway/Spicewood area has been huge.  As the population has increased, so has the average income and the price of homes.  The average price of a new home (built in 2005 or later) from June 1 to now in Bee Cave is almost $534,000.  In Lakeway, it is over $500,000 and it is over $375,000 in Spicewood.  The population growth and higher end socio economic level in the area is why the Hill Country Galleria is being built in Bee Cave.  It is also the reason the area has gotten a Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Chili’s and other businesses over the last couple of years.
