Austin Ice Storm
If you have paid any attention at all to the news you know about the ice that has coated the country from the Big Bend area of Texas all the way to New Hampshire. The Austin area didn't get hit as hard as eastern Oklahoma, but we did get hit. Allow me to illustrate:

The first photo was taken this morning at around 11:15. It shows ice on 620 by Lake Travis Middle School. The hill the school sits on is one of the higher points on this part of 620. Th entrance to the school had between 12 and 1 inch of ice on it. All 4 lanes were open, but there was ice and people had to drove on what was wet rather than icy.
The second photo is my neighborhood, Apache Shores. We didn't have enough ice to take a lot of trees down, but some did fall and others sagged under the weight of the ice.
