Home owners & business owners - if you have a security system, make sure you read this.  If you have a smart house, make sure you read this.  If you have a POS system or other computer related systems at your business, read this.

Have you heard about the change?  Spring forward, fall back is something most people understand well.  This year it is a bit different.  This year, the spring forward will happen on March 11.  Back in 2005 Congress decided to make the daylight saving time longer by 4 weeks.  If you remember the Y2K thing, you remember people being a little paraniod about how computers would react.  Well, nothing really happened.  Now many of those same systems may have a challenge if their programmers don't know abou the change.

To remember this, know that the fall time changes the first Sunday of November.  For the spring change, it will be on the second Sunday in March.

BTW, guess who might be the biggest beneficiary of the fall change...  How about kids and candy companies?  There will be one extra hour of daylight on Halloween!
