The Lake Travis ISD has announced its new LTISD school attendance boundaries.   With rapid growth in the area, new schools will be needed.   Serene Hills Elementary school is under construction right now and will be ready for the next school year.  As more people purchase real estate in Lakeway and surrounding communities, much of the growth will be out Hwy 71 and along Hamilton Pool Rd.  These areas feed younger children into Bee Cave Elementary School.  If you look at Lake Travis ISD committee recommendation to Board Trustees, you will see the high projected population growth rate in that area.  You will see population projections in the other school zones as well.  Other attendance zones will grow, but not as fast as the Bee Cave Elementary area.  A new elementary school somewhere out HWY 71 will clearly be needed within five years.  It also appears that the area served by Lake Travis Middle School will have a population large enough for a new middle school within five years as well.
