I'm in Boerne, TX this weekend with family.  Yesterday, my daughter and I went with my brother and his girls to a BBQ at a Boerne home.  While there, there was a discussion about how outrageous home prices have become in Boerne.  A friend of my brother stated that the home he sold a few years ago was back on the market.  Kyle sold his 1200 square foot home a few years ago for around $122/square foot.  The same home is on the market today for $176/foot.  In case you don't know Boerne, it is a town northwest of San Antonio on IH 10.  Boerne is quite charming, with a downtown area that has great little shops and cafes.  Boerne was once considered just another little sleepy Texas town.  Today Boerne is a bedroom community of San Antonio that is a pretty desirable place in which to own a home.  Like many places in Central Texas, home buyers have put a lot of pressure on home prices, continuing to push prices higher and higher.
