The Austin job scene is on fire compared to 5 years ago.  From 2003 through 2006, the Austin MSA gained almost 81,000 jobs.  Last year saw over 33,000 of those new jobs.  That is a huge number.  People are coming from all over to work at Samsung's new chip manufacturing plant, data centers for HP and Home Depot, construction and other service sector jobs and much more.  This trend looks to continue for several years according to local economists.  Beyond that is anyone's guess.
