The 2008 Austin Parade of Homes is in the subdivision of Rough Hollow in Lakeway.  Sitting on the Rough Hollow Cove of Lake Travis, all of the homes have lake frontage.  There are six homes by various custom builders in the Parade.  I am working the Jenkins custom home in the from time to time and that is really what this post will feature.

The room I work is the study, which you normally wouldn't think of as a very fun or unusual room, but it is both.  When I show the fun feature, most people turn into 12 year old kids and ooh and aah.  The feature is activated by pressing on a book.  In addition to the video, which is at the very end of this post, I have some photos of the Jenkins home to share.  At close to 7,000 square feet on three levels, the home lists for $3.15 million.

This is the view from the living room looking out over Rough Hollow Cove toward the marina.

Living room - a hall on the other side of the room to the left will take you to the upstairs bedrooms or the third garage space.  Behind the aquarium are stairs that go down to a bedroom, sports bar, media room, workout room with sauna and the outdoor living and pool area.

Kitchen

The kitchen is very nice.  It has two dishwashers a microwave drawer as opposed to a built-in in the wall and a hidden catering area behind the spice rack, which is to the right of the refrigerator.

Master bathtub

Yes, that is a waterproof keyboard floating in the tub.  And what looks like a TV is a computer screen.  Yes, there is a glass partition that slides closed to protect the screen if you are bathing a chilc who likes to splash.

Waterfall into the pool

This isn't the best shot to describe what you are seeing, but it shows the waterfall into the pool with the huge sliding doors to the sports bar open.  Inside are 4 TVs, a kitchenette, a climate-controlled wine room and a pass-through to the media room.

The Parade runs through June 1 and is open from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM Thursday through Monday.  To get there, take 620 to Lakeway Blvd. and follow the signs.
