Waterfront Homes on Lake Travis
Over the last several years I have gotten a lot of calls from out of area buyers wanting Lake Travis waterfront homes. When I have told people about prices, they have not wanted to believe me. After all, Lake Travis is just another lake in Texas, right? How could a home on the lake cost over $1 million?
Well just this Sunday the Austin American Statesman came out with an article about Lakeside luxury real estate. It wasn't just about Lake Travis but it did address waterfront property in the Austin area. My favorite quote was the first sentence of the second paragraph, which said: "Having an inexpensive rustic cabin or trailer on the shores of an Austin-area lake might have been possible a couple of decades ago, but those days are long gone."
So now I have additional ammunition, besides spending time going through the MS and sending waterfront listings out, to help people understand the value of waterfront properties in the Austin area. Click here for the article.
I just spent some time redoing my website page on Lake Travis waterfront homes. What I had before was a window inside the page displaying all south shore Lake Travis waterfront homes and it simply displayed too many listings. It also left out the north shore of Lake Travis.
