Wealthy Californians - Move to Austin
"Democratic lawmakers presented a plan late Tuesday night to impose $9.7 billion in new taxes on the wealthy and corporations to avoid the cuts to government services..." was the first sentence in an article I just read. I also read that a magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit the LA basin a couple of days ago.
So California is out of money - so what else is new? California's liberal reaction is typical - higher taxes. That gives the highest income folks in California just one more reason to leave the state. Austin is a great destination for these people. It is a great city, our economy is healthy and we have NO state income tax.
The Austin area is also geographically stable. We don't have earthquakes. That makes another good reason fopr people to leave California and relocate here. Any takers? Call me at 512-293-2422.
