The Hills, commonly called the Hills of Lakeway, is a very nice gated community.  People often drive out to the Lakeway area and want to drive through The Hills to look at homes.  The main gate on Lohman's Crossing is manned and the guards routinely turn people away if they don't have a legitimate way to enter The Hills.  If you want to look in The Hills, stop by the Keller Williams Lake Travis office, which is where I work.  We have passes that will get you into The Hills.  By the way, be prepared to show your drivers license.

As you drive around The Hills, you will not see For Sale signs or even brochure boxes in yards.  There are very strict rules in The Hills about marketing a home.  The only way you will know that a property is for sale is by seeing a generic looking white sign in the yard.  There will be a number and a phone number on the sign. That's it, nothing else.  So if you see a home and want information on it, call our office at 512-263-9090 and ask for the duty agent.  You can also call the number on the sign, but remember that you will be calling the listing.  The listing agent's job is to sell the house.  If you call the office and are a serious buyer, the agent on duty can probably act as a buyer's agent for you.
