Back in July, 2008, I wrote a blog post about The Backyard moving.  After all, the location had been surrounded by the Shops at the Galleria and parking had become a huge problem.  Not too long after that, I saw an article that said that The Backyard would close and may not reopen - bummer.  Then last week I saw an article in the Lake Travis Vies stating that The owner of The Backyard and the City of Bee Cave (right, not Bee Caves) had reached an agreement that would allow The Backyard to reopen.  According to the article, the new Backyard will have a capacity of 7500, which is up from the original location.  The new Backyard will share a parking area with a new hotel and will have access to both Highway 71 and 620.  It sounds like the architects are almost trying to recreate the original Backyard, not that that can really be done, but I hope they try for the same feeling.

If you're looking for real estate in Bee Cave, which includes the neighborhoods of Lake Pointe and Spanish Oaks, give me a call at 512-293-2422.
