Lakeway Police Chief, Gordon Bowers, answered a question today at a Rotary Club meeting about an attempted robbery in Lakeway.  Apparently, a young lady went in to the bar at the Lakeway Spa and Resort to try to pick up a guy.  Well, she did manage to meet someone.  After getting the guy out to her car, her boyfriend appeared with a knife.  The guy trying to be robbed got away and called 911.  The Lakeway Police stopped and arrested the would be crooks before they got out of Lakeway proper on to RR 620. 

What morons these people are!  Lakeway has two ways in and two ways out.  It also has a well trained and somewhat bored police forcen (not much happens in Lakeway).  If something goes down in Lakeway, Police respond almost immediately.  That is why I have always thought Lakeway was such a safe city.  Any would be crooks in the area should do some homework about the probability of being caught before going into an area for any kind of criminal activity.

Getting back to the morons, when the police examined the car they were driving, they found a baby in a car seat.  So these morons not only were stupid enough to think they could get away with a poorly planned robbery, but they were stupid enough to take a baby with them.  By the way, the baby was also arrested, but was later let go on his own recognizance.  OK, I added that just for fun...
