My Rotary Club Mercedes raffle is this coming Thursday and we have a LOT of unsold tickets. We printed 1200, but had only sold around 350 as of this weekend. The winner gets a C300 or a GLK and a trip to Germany to pick it up - 5 days and 4 nights in the Black Forest.  Then we fly you back home where your car is delivered to the local dealership. What do we do with the proceeds?  After expenses (and yes, we buy the car) the proceeds go toward scholarships to help needy Lake Travis High School students go to college.  It may not look like it, but there are plenty of needy kids out here.  We awarded $28,000 last year and had hoped to do better this year.
