Austin #1 on Best-Performing Cities List
The Milken Institute/Greenstreet Real Estate Partnersranked the top 200 metro areas in the country based on economic growth and how they did on holding on to jobs. This strength is one of the primary reason people are moving to Austin and buying homes here. Additional criteria used included information on tech growth, wages and salaries. The Austin MSA, which includes Austin, Round Rock and surrounding cities, Austin took the number 1 spot for the second time. Texas as a whole did well with 8 of the top 15 cities on the list.
