Lake Travis Waterfront Foreclosure
If anyone is looking for a deal on a Lake Travis waterfront home, I may have one for you. There is a home in Lakeway with one of the most panoramic views of Lake Travis of any home on the water and it is a bank owned foreclosure.
I am not the listing agent, but have walked through the home. The MLS history shows this home to be somewhere between 5300 and 7000 square feet and I have no way to verify the square footage. It has several bedroom set-ups that could be master suites. There are several wet bar areas that could make for great entertaining. There is a huge deck facing the lake with a pool and hot tub. There is also a tram going down to a very large boat dock.
I have talked with a builder and several other agents who estimate the value on the lot, tram and dock at around $1 million. The list price on the home has come way down to $1.395 million. Replacement cost for a home of this size would probably be in excess of $650,000.
This home probably would not be a good fit for a family with kids. It looks to me more like a great second home and a great place for entertaining. There are some repairs that need to be made, but this home could be lived in without a lot of work.
