Austin Top City For Young Adults
Portfolio.com/bizjournals studied 67 metro markets across the country and determined that Austin is the best city for young adults. So everyone in Austin may be thinking - we needed a study for that?
The study looked a number of factors including growth of population, employment, per capita income and income growth, the number of young adults (ages 18-34) with degrees, unemployment rate among young adults and a few other things. It should be no surprise that 7 of the top 11 spots were southern cities. The top 11 included Austin, Houston, Oklahoma City, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Tulsa, Baton Rouge and San Antonio.
