A new emergency room will open in Bee Cave later this year and that is great news for the area.  Bee Caves Urgent Care, a minor emergency clinic opened fairly recently on Highway 71, but major emergency medical care is still 20+ minutes away from the area, especially for people in the Spicewood area. 

 

From Hudson Bend to Lakeway and out to Spicewood, there is a big void in emergency medical care and this new facility, set to open n the Hill Country Galleria Mall, will be wonderful to have.  The Lakeway Regional Medical Center is back on track and it will have a Level II Trauma Facility, which is also huge news, but that is potentially two years away.  The new facility in Bee Cave will bring a great and much needed service to the western Travis County area.
