Lakeway entrance off 620If you took the time to drive around Lakeway on the west side of RR 620, aside from Rough Hollow, you wouldn’t think there were many vacant lots left. If you had a Lakeway REALTOR check the MLS early in the year, you would see no Lakeway lot sales until late April. 

What is surprising to me is that 7 lots in Lakeway are currently under contract and 18 have sold since April. Of these lots, 5 that are under contract are in Alta Vista and 5 of the sold lots are also in Alta Vista. This is a subdivision that Toll Brothers built and pulled out of at the end of last year. Somebody must see value in the neighborhood because it looks like the lots that sold went to the same buyer – probably a builder.

A search for current Lakeway lots listings turns up 112 lots for sale. The bulk of these are on the east side of RR 620 with the least expensive lots being in Cardinal Hills. The Preserve at Lakeway, also on the east side of 620, also has quite a few lots listed for sale. Many of these have nice Hill Country views.

What doesn’t show up much in the MLS is Rough Hollow. This is the newest Lakeway community and will have over 1,000 home sites and some very nice amenities. There are currently 5 Rough Hollow lots listed for sale in the MLS and they range in price from $275,000 to $350,000. Each of these has Lake Travis views.
