The Value of Texas Longhorn Football
I just saw something on Forbes.com ranking the most valuable college football teams. The University of Texas Longhorns came out on top. The Longhorns are currently valued at a staggering $129 million, bringing a $71 million profit to this great school.
What the story does not show is the amount of money coming into Austin's economy and that has to be a significant amount. People book hotel rooms for game weekends, they spend money on food and drink, merchandise, groceries for tailgating and much more.
Isn’t this just one more thing that makes Austin so great?
