Lakeway Police Chief, Gordon Bowers, answered a question today at a Rotary Club meeting about an attempted robbery in Lakeway. Apparently, a young lady went in to the bar at the Lakeway Spa and Resort to try to pick up a guy. Well, she did manage to meet someone. After getting the guy out to her car, her boyfriend appeared with a ...

Yes, I said hospitals. A sign went up around a year ago by the post office in Lakeway on RR 620. The sign advertised a hospital. Close to the same time, the big regional hospital near the high school was announced. The big hospital will be a really big deal for everyone from Spicewood and Briarcliff to Hudson Bend and ...

The Hills, commonly called the Hills of Lakeway, is a very nice gated community. People often drive out to the Lakeway area and want to drive through The Hills to look at homes. The main gate on Lohman's Crossing is manned and the guards routinely turn people away if they don't have a legitimate way to enter The ...

I had a real treat yesterday evening. I went to an open house at a stunning home on Lake Travis in a private, gated part of Lakeway. I have posted about the proposed and now approved medical center Lakeway is getting before. Now I can direct you to a website with images showing the layout on a plat and a 3-dimensional drawing. It is very impressive. Click here for the plat and here for the 3-D. After having been approved by the Lakeway City Council a few ...

I went to my Lakeway - Lake Travis Rotary Club meeting the other and decided to take my camera. I wanted to take some pictures from the Lakeway Spa and Resort, which is where we meet. What used to be the Lakeway Inn for many years changed when Dolce bought the place. Millions of dollars later it looks quite a bit different. ...
